I first read this book in 2018, then bought an audible version so I can refresh my knowledge regularly. Life changing indeed! I adhere to Dr. Cate's recommendations as best I can, because I'm convinced she is correct. It's not easy! My husband and I rarely go out to eat, since I'm sure we would end up consuming vegetable oil, which I now believe is the worst thing one can put in their bodies. I cook with butter, olive, avocado and coconut oils, and the cleanest, most natural AND ethical foods I can find. My cholesterol is high, but my HDL is very high and my triglycerides are well below the 150 mg/dl "normal" range. My doctors beg me to take cholesterol lowering meds - one even suggested I find a new PCP! In short, this book is my nutrition bible.
