Listen, the acting was great. The potential, was unlimited. The backstory was not great. The storyline itself was not great, or rather, not served well in an MCU episodic format.
If this was a 90-120 minute, generic revenge movie, it would've been alright. Unfortunately, Disney did this character a disservice.
Disney has made the Netflix MCU cannon and they could have done much more with this, with a longer season and better writers, if they really wanted to.
Instead, it feels more like what DC did, which is rush to put out a bunch of content to develope new(er) characters to catch up and put out a terrible JL movie to compete with the Avengers and Marvel.
Watch it for yourself and decide though. There has been very little Disney has done well for the MCU in my eyes since No Way Home. I liked Moon Knight but virtually all Disney+ MCU shows were not good. (Yeah, you too She-Hulk)
The Netflix MCU was amazing! Agents of Shield was really good. Disney missed a huge opportunity with setting up a Ghost Rider movie off the heals of Shield.
Everyone will have their own reactions and opinions. This is merely mine. All for inclusion and diversity but if you're going to do that, don't ruin it with garbage storylines. 🤷🏼♂️
