As a kid aged 7 standing in line to see star wars for the second time in 1977 I was hooked, and always will be, 2019 I'm taking my 28 year old daughter to see, Rise of skywalker, I've found some of the reviews to be disheartening, and wondered to my self please be good, don't listen or be put of by them,we both found the film highly enjoyable on many levels cgi/vfx, soundtrack and very emotional, this is a fitting tribute to a lasting legacy,The star wars community mourned Carrie Fisher's passing, certain reviews are rubbishing what's on screen regarding her character, I've found this unfair and cruel and not justified, all involved have made a fantastic job of furthering, Carrie Fishers character arc on screen, hats off and well done, there are lots of nods to the originals, and the film doesn't suffer for this. For me personally I would rate this film 9/10 it's great and will be watching again, please, please don't pay attention to the haters and negative reviews
