This movie wants to be something that it isn't. Not by a long shot. In my estimation, it's one of those things people pretend to like, because it's supposed to represent a very hip/urban subculture. Like the fools who follow some nonsensical pseudoscience made up by some low iq inmate.

What a shame. Christmas. Winter. Snow. Train. Kids. North Pole.Opportunity for a GREAT ADVENTURE/holiday magic story..what they ended up with is just mediocre, dragged out scenes that don't have purpose. And what's the deal with the conductor.. is he grumpy and strict? Or kind and fun loving? The kids can't seem to figure it out.

So.. I just watched for the 3rd time. I don't think I ever made it all the way through because I don't remember it ending this way. I think I must've assumed it was over and checked out. Same thing happened with The Ring. Anyway, big psychological horror fan. Making it to the end makes a big difference. It's a lot .. A LOT BETTER than I thought. Kindofa mix of the shining, Misery, secret window.. with a splash of vanilla sky..

Now THIS should've swept the Oscar's in place of the Everything Nowhere WasteofTime bs. This is what movies are all about. It's just great. Everything. From soup to nuts. I salute everyone involved. Haven't seen anything as good (of this genre) since Time Bandits. If you want to feel an authentic smile on your face... Watch !!!

Good ideas for vehicles, contraptions, costumes and sequences... but plot, characters..and actors, including Hardy.. are just boring

This is atrocious. Julia Roberts is solaughably bad. Everyone is so bad. I kept waiting for it to get better... for anything to make sense and I just realized I didn't care anymore. I see the top voted review is 5☆... suggesting people like me should watch Kardashians. Because I'm so mind-numbingly dumb, that I don't understand how deep this movie is...as a warning of how terrible technology is.. id bet everything the author believes gluing herself on the road in rush-hour traffic will save us.

Absolutely stunning. This is such an amazing film. The cast is FANTASTIC. Imogen Poots ! ...and the soundtrack just floors me

I don't usually watch movies like this. I didn't know a thing about it. Just the trailer. It pulled me in right away... it kept me guessing throughout. It's an amazing film. I was impressed with Korean movie making after seeing the Wailing- 5 times. This is completely different, and it's fantastic

I cant understand how Eli Roth gets his movies made. The dialogue..the scenes ..the acting..but most of all, the direction.. its so laughably bad.

Less Than Zero is a straight up masterpiece. The only downside is how emotionally heavy it is. It's definitely DISTURBING. The direction and cinematography, as well as the score, deserve Oscars. The acting is top notch, and I think its RDJr's greatest (dramatic) role. How Less Than Zero doesn't have higher rt/imdb scores, I do not understand.
