The set locations breathtaking. The sets impressive. Costumes are mesmerizing and the dirt, filth and realism of the time beyond captivating. Cinematography is in the excellence category and creative. Superb performances from the actors. I waited many years to watch it a second time and once again I was emotionally drawn into the story even though there is no hero or love story in the traditional sense it is a compelling film.
