I'm from NY, and when I saw that the first Pokemon region based on somewhere outside Japan was going to be inspired by my home, I fell in love instantly. The story, characters, Pokemon, and new battle styles (triple and rotation) are the best. Even after all this time, it tops my favorite Pokemon game list
