This is the type of series that I have been waiting on. A slow burn that left me anxious for the next episode. I am currently rewatching the first three episodes looking for clues to what happens next Friday. The characters are well written and acted. The bad reviews are the typical type of review bombing we have come to expect for any series with African American characters. People bring their expectations of who we are into the art we make and it creates expectations that go unfulfilled. I am glad to see the disappointed comments...it means that they didn't get the stereotypical, and new is difficult for some to comprehend. I love this....I am going to reread the book before the next episode to make sure I get everything I need from this series. I am so glad that the story was made. The series is really as good as it "thinks" it is. Some people just have a hard time keeping up.
