We watched two episodes yesterday with my husband and couldn't force ourselves to watch more. They are just too cheesy and shallow, with noticeable lack of acting. Even with the accepted fact that it is a comedy genre more than anything else, the serias already feel like an offense to our shared love for the Fallout games. I had no expectations but I'm disappointed.
Vault security failed on so many levels, wow. Did the makers get inspired by Fallout Shelter?
Brotherhood of Steel is a some kind of a religious cult, its members engage in rituals and can't tell "a rotor" from "a circuit".
Armor suit fights look painfully awful. The only fire weapon gets lost during the very first fight (or a joke of it), and from now on for this suit it's clumsy bare hands melee mostly. Why so? The square's bag was made obscenely big probably for a reason of holding things (weapons, tons of them) inside, no? and one could weaponise a lot of things in the game, or buy, or steal, or whatever. Missed opportunities for a sake of "comedy" I guess.
As for the camera style, I find it hard to bear any longer those count- and meaningless close-up face shots showing the same expression of Lucy 😳 and Maximus 😐, are they trying to act game npcs? Do I have to guess what they think of whatever they look at or do they just think the same thing every time?
With that experience I was surprised today when went to look what other viewers have to say and saw the show's 94% positive rating, it's must be either fake/cheat reviews or the humanity is doomed.
