I recommend going to watch this new film. The film to some people may appear to condone violence, but I think if you look deeper it simply puts the viewers in the joker's shoes. It is a big eye-opener by showing how society fails those who suffer from mental health conditions. Joaquin is an incredible actor, not only does he portray a terrifying iconic villain but the disturbance and struggles of the characters mental health decline. I found the film in some parts unsettling and intense but the film sends a powerful message how the mixture of poverty, lack of social support for his condition, constant mocking from others and being abused as a child caused the character pain and provoked him to turn to violence and striking back. Although, in reality, we know not all people fight back, some people turn on themselves and in some cases commit suicide. This film shows how childhood experiences can shape our character as an adult and continue to affect us throughout our lives. We don't know what people might be going through or have been through. This film has inspired me to put my self in other's shoes more often and continue with my psychology studies. Along side all this the music choice and cinematography was captivating!
