Helping a terminally ill boy client to say goodbye to his loved ones provided the perfect juxtaposition for Violet's feelings to manifest on paper and in-person to the man who means the world to her. Kyoto Animation has returned with such a triumph with this movie, weaving hope and inspiration into the fabric of the story with gentleness and careful consideration for the traumatised after the war...similar to how the studio has climbed out of their own tragedy and persevered beautifully into the hearts of their fans.
