I do not love this show. I absolutely love the book and read it once a year. I love the original mini series because it follows the storyline of the book. I'm only on the second episode but the broken storyline is not great. It makes it more confusing that it needs to be, maybe in a failed effort to make it more interesting? The new actors give it a nice updated look and the modern effects are nice. (All hail the gooey green snot department!) But just because you can drop a random F bomb in a film these days, doesn't mean you should. Stu's collection of F bombs in the first episode seemed strained and unnatural. The scene where Poke and Lloyd shoot up the covience store was great and had just the right amount of f bombs for that scene. I will probably force myself to watch the whole.mini series. Maybe the ridiculous jumping storyline won't ruin the whole thing.but I will only watch it once and then dig up my old DVD of the original miniseries
