Batmakshi Mohan-Arvind

This is a faithful remake of 'Badhai ho' in that the base story is intact. The emotions were mild, subtle and reasonable without any forced feminist flavours in the original compared to the way too louder emotions and reactions in this one.

The entire setup is rushed and does not linger for a moment anywhere for anyone to grasp the intensity of the plot or the significance behind each action to be understood by a non-book reader. There are several inconsistencies between the book and the series and the casting looks nothing like what they were described in the book. It's manageable to trade for the demigods but, at least the Greek gods should look Greek and, Disney loses the core too! This is a disappointing adaptation for the fandom; please do us a favour and don't renew for the next season!!

Aside from the fact that this movie resorts to go by Nani's current trend of mocking Hindus, this is a painful screenplay! I could not even tolerate 30 mins of this nonsense!!

The comedy track by Vadivelu was amazing. But the horror element/psychological issues were not handled properly, there was no ghost in the original or the other versions. Perhaps, the director did not understand the concept from the original and the reproduction was all over. Jothika's acting was nowhere near the other actresses who played the same role. Also, the plethora of subplots diluted the crux. Shobana>Vidya>Soundarya>>>>>>Jothika!!

This film talks about the elephant in the room!! An absolutely beautiful narration, brilliant casting, crisp editing and cinematography transports the audience to re-live the tragic historic moments. These are things you cannot unsee and impacts you for a very long time! This is a very bold movie that needs support from people to sustain itself against the movie mafia. A real history presented that is hated by all the media house reviewers but, etched forever in the hearts of the audience

This is a movie in the pre-independence era about two men with two different objectives coming together eventually joining the freedom fighter force. It is a pacy movie, good editing and sharp cinematography!! Absolute entertainer! Alia did not look anything like a south Indian and was a misfit though she has tried to act!

If you had enjoyed the 1998 version, please stay away from this disaster for a movie! Serious changes to the original plot with plot holes the size of craters, this is one to avoid....90 minutes for pure pain!

Samudhrakani is awesome with his casual performance, Amala Paul was stereo typically! The climax was bad and the film sort of felt incomplete.
