The opening animation was subpar compared to Netflix creations, and was somewhat reminiscent of a Tim Burton film, but also subpar in comparison. It tried way too hard to give the “eighties” vibe that it went overboard. It felt like Napoleon Dynamite and Beetle Juice got ran over by Mtv’s Liquid Television. The acting wasn’t too bad. The movie seemed so focused on being “cool” that it forgot to create any plot twist, weather, funny or suspenseful.
