If you like the desert (particularly the Colorado Desert near Anza Borrego) it's entertaining to see a film set in that context. It's pretty entertaining. Perhaps a little predictable in hindsight, but not too much. Definitely some appropriate themes for the day. Is it fully believable. Not in hindsight. Is it plausible drama? Definitely. The ending is a bit disjointed. But I liked it and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the area for sure.
