This started out as a promising crime novel, but then got to be a silly romp. The main protagonist, Carl, is a wimp and it amazed me why his 'beautiful' girlfriend stayed with him for so long. The murders were all consequential following the first innocent death, mainly due to Carl's inability to man up. The intermittent tale of Tom Molsom and his bus journeys seemed to have no link to the main plot and felt like padding. I won't be reading any more by this author.
