This show is amazing to watch once and if you can, consecutive. On a overview, and first watch it's brilliant, you get the classic gangster ways, the life, a modern turn and some great scenes.
Unfortunately, I watched it a secondz hoping to get a further grip on the characters and story ready for the second season. This is where it fell apart, on watching it a second time, I found the storyline old and cliche, and ultimately really wasn't a story just a basic plot filled with side stories and facets.
It's full of side story's that lead nowhere and leaves characters with no back ground or history worth relating too. The "storyline" has been redone so many times, that its worn out, maybe with better branches of the lives and character history it would possibly work. But in this case the actors are to rigid, Sly is, I hate to say, out of his depth and seems to be trying to hard to play the gangster, when he doesn't really need too.
There's so many more pros and cons, but I'll leave it there, as it's really really worth a watch and personally can't wait for the second season, but only watch it once and don't do what I did and try get more from what it actually is a good time filler or binge watching weekend series, apart from that it's best left alone.
I do want to state again it's deffo worth watching and is a great first time watch, in that regard 5/5.
