I, as we all were, was skeptical of their ability to revisit and reimagine Aladdin while still keeping its sense of adventure. I can honestly say that it was done with precision and the magic that only Disney can provide. All of the original songs rang in my ears with welcomed dejavú while also offering a new song to show Jasmine’s heart and determination. I connected more with this cast than I even did with the original characters, as hard as that is to say. They added story where it was needed and it all came together wonderfully.
