This is pretty painful to watch. The characters, the story, the plot, all seem to be half-decent. I like that the writers really try to show you the world rather than tell you about it. The actors and the director though... I've never seen lines delivered in a more underwhelming way. It's like there's this great character that the writer built, and then a totally different person on screen reading their lines. So many quips that could have been funny or endearing not only fell flat, but were actually painful to watch. Don't waste your time.

House of the Dragon goes back to the roots of GoT in the best way. It brings back dynamic characters who you can both love and hate at the same time. It really feels like the writers crafted the characters and the initial setting and then just wrote what they expected each of these characters to do, letting them take full reign of the plot. It's very cool to see how just the sheer weight of the responsibility of the crown is able to forge unlikely alliances and shatter familial bonds. For GoT fans, understand that this show is much less about action, war and grand fantasy and instead is much more about drama. The politics here are very clearly spelled out and the cast of characters is miniscule in comparison to GoT. With that said, each character is given all the love and care they deserve by the writers.

I absolutely love the sci-fi and fantasy genres, but in order to successfully tell a story in one of these genres you need to hold the audience's suspension of disbelief. Moonfall wasn't able to do that for me. I was very disappointed in how quickly Moonfall broke my emersion and by it's lack of ability to pull me back in. I hope others enjoy it more than I did.
