It’s pretty terrible. Depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re expecting a solid disturbing movie like Climax, Speak No Evil, Midsommar, Titane, I saw the devil, and Mother!, and are looking for something to scratch that itch…look elsewhere. This remake has its few shock and awe moments, I’ll give it that. But otherwise, the plot is a mess, acting is suspect (except of course for Tilda Swinton who can always carry a bad film to ‘okay’ status) and pace is a disaster. Don’t waste your time unless you are primarily looking for visual shock and awe after 2 hours of plotless nonsense.
