Rough, a lot of sex. Very sound acting. Red, the head cook, a marvelous actor. Main characters are solid too. Back stories help you like or at least understand the unlovables. Atrocity that men are guards in women's prisons. ! I imagine this show is right on target with the truth.

Ioved the main character, Mav. so I was happy with outcome but did not think it realistic. Reminded me of Ponyboy by SE Hinton with a black accent and kids. Loved Mav's mom. Best character. Most believable.

Well written but horribly drawn out... I was, frankly, bored, despite the tense plot and good characters. She should have cut half the book.
