The Forge is another GREAT movie from the Kendrick brothers! It focuses on the Christian journey: discipleship, prayer, & faith, among other things. It depicts a parent who may feel at a lost as to how to help their child when their child is going astray. So the mama (played by Priscilla Shirer....LOVE her!!) does the best thing she can do: PRAY. Not only does she pray for her son Isaiah (played by Aspen Kennedy...he portrayed the role of Isaiah brilliantly) she rallies others around him with her prayer partners & covers him in prayer!! My pastor always says prayer isn't the least you can do for a person it's the most you can do. Joshua (played by Cameron Arnett) comes into Isaiah's life & offers additional positive influence & helps get him on the right track. I cried with this movie as I usually with all their films. These movies are thought provoking & really make you take a look at yourself & see if you're doing what needs to be done on the Christian journey & motivates you to make changes to become better! The movie is GREAT!!! 5/5 stars, HIGHLY recommended. The Kendrick brothers & Priscilla Shirer don't disappoint with this movie!

Good film! I am a fan of both kelly Rowland fan& Tyler perry fan. I enjoyed the film! It was a somewhat predictable story line (the typical you want what you can't have or shouldn't have rather) but still good. There was chemistry between the 2 main leads kelly Rowland & trevante Rhodes. This was a different character for kelly to play & I feel she played the character well. It was a nice treat to have both the sagar brothers in the film (nick & sean). The plot twist at the end I did NOT expect but was surprisingly good! The ending was somewhat rushed as well. Overall a good movie, kind of a new look for TP bc he doesn't typically do "thrillers " so that was a welcomed change. Trevante Rhodes performance was solid as usual. I'd recommend this movie to others.

Great film! I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I didn't know of actor Everett Osborne who portrayed Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton but he did a great job portraying him. He was able to portray emotions not only with his words but with his non verbal communication with his eyes. It tells the true story of Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton on his journey to breaking barriers & becoming the 2nd black NBA player(Earl Lloyd being the 1st). It shows the adversity he endured, his on court basketball skills, as well as him introducing a new creative way of playing basketball. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie & highly recommend to others!

Great family film! I watched tonight and this is such a good movie! The movie emphasizes the importance of family, faith love, and forgiveness as well as some unexpected surprise(s) with the story line. The cast is great as well starring Lynn Whitfield, Micheal Jai White, and Clifton Powell. Also starring Byron Minns who I'm not too familiar with but he did a great job of bringing his character to life on screen! I so enjoyed this movie and recommend to others!!

I've been a fan of this show since season 1. It explores the friendship between 4 childhood friends. It explores the lives of each of them as a black male in American dealing with dating, relationships, marriages, jobs/careers, racism, politics, fatherhood and everything that comes with life. It's a refreshing take on friendship from a male point of view. It explores their disagreements, and how they work or try to resolve any tension among them & stand united in their brotherhood. And it's a nice display of eye candy too! (Whew!!! That Thomas Q. Jones!!!). Love this show, so glad it got renewed for season 2!!!! 5/5 stars!!!

I'm a fan of Oprah Winfrey and the OWN. Also a fan of Craig Wright. This show is a "spinoff" of some sort of the show Greenleaf which I was sure a huge fan and watched in its entirety til the series finale. Anyhow, the show Delilah is so good! Good writing, good acting. The plot entails a successful mother balancing her career (as an attorney with her own personal law firm) and family (raising kids 2 of her own as well as her nephew). On top of that it also tells about her friendship/sisterhood with her bff Tamara who is an attorney herself. Delilah and Tamara are now at the center of a case that has the possibility of affecting their friendship. It also gives insight into the family dynamics of delilah family (her estranged relationship with father and that of her brother along with her ex husband who is interesting to say the least. Each week a new piece of info is revealed about the case, the family, etc. that keeps us viewers tuning in every week. I'm such a fan of this show and recommend it to others!

The movies trailer didn't pull me into watching the movie. But the great cast of Regina King, Idris Elba, Lakeith Standfield along with the chance to witness the story/history of black cowboys is what made me watch the movie. Let me be clear, I do not like western movies. As a child, I watched them bc I was made to watch them by my uncle as a kid when my siblings & I would be there to visit. Nevertheless, I watched the movie & it was such a good treat! The actors portrayed these real life cowboys so well. The plot is good & it really pulls the viewers in. I'm not too familiar with the actor Jonathan Majors but he portrayed Nat Love well as did the actress who portrayed Stagecoach Mary. The movie has a surprising revelation at the end & I did not anticipate that at all! Mouth was wide open...lol when that secret was exposed. Additionally I want to say all the cast portrayed their characters well. The most sweet thing about the movie is the subtle sweet tribute to the great fallen actor Chadwick Boseman...I so love that. This movie is about loyalty, love, revenge, crime&family western style. This was a good movie! I recommend it to others to watch you'll enjoy as I did. 5/5 stars. And also let me mention that the movies soundtrack is good too! Kudos to the director & all the cast for such a good movie!

I'm power fan so of course I was gonna watch power 3. So far I'm underwhelmed. I like the show, but I feel it's slow &I'm eagerly awaiting for it to pick up. I love patina miller who plays raq (kanan's mama)she's playing this role nicely! I didnt know her before this show, but I'm a fan now! I love seeing a woman portraying a role that's typically male dominated. I also like Maleik curtis (haven't heard of him before this show) & he's portraying the role of kanan nicely. The wardrobe is spot on for that time. I also could do WITHOUT 50s narration. I keep watching the show in anticipation it'll pick up . If it doesn't then I'll probably stop watching after a few more episodes. Kanan is probably the one character story I wanted to see last. I'd rather see Tommy's story first than kanan. But I get it kanan help put ghost in the game, then ghost put tommy in the game so I guess they're going in chronological order after ghost. Well see if it'll pick up, if not I'll tune out.

Great movie!!! 5/5 stars. Jonathan Majors & Glen Powell truly embodied the role of their characters. They gave powerful performances! It tells the true story of naval aviator Jesse L. Brown & the great accomplishments he achieved while being a navy officer. It also shows the adversity he faced as he went about to accomplish his dream. It unfolds beautifully while showing Brown's leadership qualities, his passion for aviation, his love & devotion to his wife & child, all while exploring the development of his friendship with Tom. The film shows dedication, love, sacrifice. It pulls at your heart & you can feel the emotion in every scene especially towards the end. The cast, director, and all made a GREAT MOVIE!! I highly recommend. It truly highlights a special moment in black history & the history of the US.
