Being one of Rajini sir's last few films, Annaatthe fails to meet the expectations by a landslide. This movie never fails to make me bored every single scene. Even movies like Lingaa, Kabali and Kaala is much much better than Sirutha Siva's latest. A movie so boring, that I could easily say that Vivegam (Siva's biggest flop with Thala Ajith as the main character) is better than Annaatthe. Annaatthe's music is the only thing that is good enough

*I tried to be Spoiler Free as possible, but if you still wanted 0% spoilers do not read* Very very bad character writing from Kathik Subburaj. The main character does something that is soo bad not once but twice but everyone is ready to forgive him. The female lead's backstory is so brutal, and he out of nowhere made her life more miserable and hopeless and she is ready to forgive him. Suruli, the lead character kills a lot of people but everyone who care about the people he killed grief for 1 minute and then they are ready to forgive him. In Kaththi after knowing that Jeeva Anandham is a very good person you can see from the acting of Kathiresan that he feels bad for what he did, but Suruli seems like he doesn't care. There is NO consequences for the bad stuff he did because he is the lead character. But not gonna lie, until the real story of this movie began it was really fun because it was just mindless killing of gangsters and gun fight. The second half was the downhill of the movie. Not because of the story, because of bad writing of characters.
