Uninspired and shallow. Characters are underdeveloped presumably to set up spin-offs, but it leaves the film feeling as lacking of content as buying a modern Mario sports game on launch day. Pratt’s performance as Mario is absolutely terrible. Most of the runtime is comprised of Easter eggs and references that are so in your face that they couldn’t be more obvious if they had a giant red arrow pointing at them. This movie takes the bold approach of seemingly trying to get as many “what you missed” listicles and YouTube videos made about it as possible. Save your time and money and watch something else.
