I love this show in my heart! Out of all the shows I've seen, this one means to me the most! I've been fascinated about this show, and then, I started discovering more about the show. When I watched the first episode, it was awesome! Such an intelligent instruction to the show! And I laughed at times!
The entire first season is a classic masterpiece! The animation was unique and fascinating, the premise is intelligent and fascinating, the writing is clever and funny, the characters were full of energy, emotions, and presence, the episodes were well-written, the ideas are cool, and the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard so far. I gotta admit, the opening theme is a rocker! I love how the composition of this masterpiece has emotions and authenticity, and the lyrics were also a great story, especially at the beginning. However, the rest of the soundtrack was awesome, especially songs like "Start Over" by Abandoned Pools and "Standard Lines" by Dashboard Confessional.
The second season was decent. The color palettes for the new characters did not suit well with the more neutral and darker tones for the first season. However, the colors were more vibrant because the animation is newer and fits more with the newer generation. The animation aged better with the third season in general. A lot of episodes of Season 2 suffered from what made the first season a masterpiece, especially the fourth and fifth episodes, which were bad in general. However, the last two episodes were so much better. Mr. Butlertron's episode was so good, especially the backstory. Really, there were two things I missed in general... Cleo's voice was so sexy, sarcastic, and emotional in the first season that it fits her personality and relationship with Abe so well. No disrespect to Mitra Jouhari, but unfortunately, her voice acting with Cleo doesn't sit well. I think it's bland, probably because I really missed how low Cleo's voice goes in Season 1 when she gets flirty and dramatic, and that Cleo's character got butchered. So sad! And of course, we all missed Gandhi. Gandhi was such a relatable character, with such wit and joy that brings us. We, with ADHD, can relate to Gandhi in many ways. If it wasn't for the Hunger Strikes protest in India back in 2003, the show wouldn't been canceled in 2003 in the US, and this all wouldn't happen. However, there is a chance that we might get Gandhi in the fourth season, so fingers crossed everyone. And one thing, please don't replace Michael McDonald! He's what makes Gandhi the greatest!
As for the third season, huge improvement over the second season. It feels like Clone High again, but in the new generation. Tbh, Joan x Confucius settled really well because they have some great chemistry. A lot of people want the revival to be over, but however, I can see that the fourth season is going to be even better. All we really need is Gandhi, and that's it. It's scary. I just hope it doesn't end with such a cliffhanger and get canceled.
I would recommend watching the first season of the show if you're interested watching the show. If you want to know the whole story behind it, then have your guts ready to watch the entire show. Be aware! The second and third season can get cringe, especially the second season.
