Brutal but absolutely brilliant with terrific acting from the whole cast. Hard to watch in some places but a nail-biting story from start to finish.

Absolutely brilliant. Austin spent almost 2 years studying everything about Elvis in order to embody him rather than impersonate him. He succeeded on every level. Tom Hanks is, of course, equally brilliant as the odious Colonel Tom Parker. The film really illuminates the humanity and naivety of Elvis Presley and it is quite heartbreaking to see how he was used and abused by virtually everyone, leading to his sad and sorry last years. If Austin Butler doesn't get an Oscar for this outstanding performance it will be a major travesty!
