I have broadcast TV, and only hear the opinions of 'non-corporate' anchors when listening to a few of the Sunday shows, or when I catch Christiane Amanpour. She stimulates fresh thoughts and insights while investigating topics that are off the well trodden paths of the traditional news anchors. I truly missed Charlie Rose, as I had frequently watched him twice a day. However, Christiane has truly been a welcome breath of fresh air. She helped take the sting out my actions of having touted the artistry of Charlie Rose over the previous couple of years (I only became aware of Charlie Rose after I cut the cable). I do wish that the local OKC/PBS station would broadcast C. Amanpour twice a day. I am sure I would learn even more from her unique knowledge and perspectives.
