I watched this show via satellite from Canada back when it aired on CBC. I had video tapes of it that I took to work and a bunch of us would go into the presentation theater and eat lunch while watching an episode. We loved Jack Larkin, Marty Stephens, and Grant Jansky. Never disappointed. Over the years, I've watched the episodes that were made available on DVD. And now, the entire series is available on Amazon Prime. I am watching it all over again.
Traders had a multitude of story threads; some worked better than others, but overall, it's a keeper. In fact, quite a number of the stories had roots in real-life excitement of floor trading moments, personality meltdowns, and financial near-catastrophes.
The show is now about 25 years old and dated with the cathode ray monitors all over the trading floor, but the human drama, romance, power-driven personalities, and comedy are still as current as ever.
Watch Traders!
