Louise Economides

Surprisingly timely film about finding meaning at a moment when the world around you is falling apart. Though ostensibly a gangster hostage movie (ala Key Largo) this film is really about a lot more than this... Howard's speeches about nature's "revenge" upon hubristic humanity and women being the "future" in the face of cultural ruin seem very contemporary. The acting is very entertaining and the script is literate. How many times can Bogie say "mug" in the same sentence? See this movie and find out!
