Glad I saw this, I guess, though I wish I hadn't paid to do so on Youtube. Despite its handsome and talented star, its fine cinematography and the generally excellent acting of its cast, this flick managed to make ninety minutes seem like nine hundred.
Started out intriguing and I was interested in the story, but about half way in the film morphed from engaging narrative into artsy tedium. Flying rocks, a grandma back from the dead, a horribly polluted deathscape, and plenty of skin from its lead actor, whatever, I just didn't care about any of it toward the wrap up and only stuck with it because I paid $4 to view the thing.
I love movies and when they're good, I wish they'd go on forever. This one, not so much. I thought it had ended several times and was disappointed to discover each time that I was wrong.
Oh, and something about rape and HIV/AIDS, a subject I care about deeply, thrown in for the hell of it I guess.
I hope Black Stone's star gets better projects going forward. He deserves them.
