One of the best sonic games ever made. Has multiple open zones to explore, mini challenges, random puzzles, rpg elements,(upgrade sonics speed, damage, defense, max ring count.) day and night cycle, over the top graphics on Xbox series x. Mini zone bosses, and major boss fights. Also like Mario games there's alot around the map do.as you unlock the map from doing the challenges, it unlocks rails to explore more out of reach areas or get back to areas faster. Also has the basic races from past sonic games. There's also a fishing mini game that rewards you with purple coins letting you buy different things. There is Abit of pop in, but it's not enough to affect me playing the game. This game is probably the best game to release this year. The combos and skills can be upgraded as you progress through the game or if you collect the loco (little rock people) bring them to the shorter talking statue and it'll take them and offer upgrades in return. Basic enemies drop portal pieces, upgrade points for sonic (blue small pieces), also other items. Sonic can also refresh his coins by holding Y or Triangle and making a blue circle. Once maxed sonic runs faster and has a blue aura while sprinting. The taller statue wants your red and blue fruit looking rewards, in return upgrades your defense, attack. And can change your upgrades to the opposite category. And the soundtrack is really good.
