very brutal and unfair portrait of that murky era..It is a bad film. It should be banned.Shamed Bodrov died, but this film is a very bad movie, on so many levels

It was a one hot mess. Badly written/timed, 1D characters, love Celina Gomez, but not in this role, sadly. Dont understand how she had a nod from Golden Globe. Zoe was the only true star in this otherwise uninspiring journey. Wanted to love it, gutted

Truly special piece of art .Something that will have an imprint in your soul, and then more. Johnny Flynn's Richard Burton is flawed, warm , unique. And, his Hamlet's monologue was quite different from any other ones , R.Burton including.
Sam Mendes has created, once again, a carefully , finely crafted number that teaches, nurtures, hurts and stays with you for a long while.

mixed bag it was. lots of terrific performances ( Florence, Robert Downy Jr, etc.). Sadly, and very very sadly Cilians Murphys was not one of them.)
