This series is disrespectful to all things period drama. The constant screaming and giggling is beyond annoying. The characters have no depth and the constant modern twists, background music etc. are disgustingly unnecessary. The "American girl" persona is exhausting to watch and presents these women as having no values. I highly doubt that's the case. If you like Gossip Girl and any other teen series with similar story lines, then you might like this.
