Jack Thompson. Russell Crowe. Those scenes alone made this movie worthwhile. Superb cast. Fun moments. Thoughtful. Well worth a watch. Good plug for Australian reds too!

Story lost focus too many times, major plot points were never followed up and it sidetracked all over the place and more questions were raised than answers given. A lot of contemporary understanding of multiple issues were shoehorned into a historical setting and it was jarring. Should have been a great story but it was not well told, which is a shame as it would have been a powerful vehicle if driven carefully.
