Huge fan of the series and of course the original from ‘73. I waited until the movie was on the streaming services for a few bucks. I wish I would have waited even longer until it was free. I didn't go in thinking this was going to compare to the original; It clearly doesn’t. I did however expect it to be a somewhat decent movie based on the it being part of the Exorcist series. Man I was wrong. It started out ok but seriously turned into comedy once we got closer to the “Exorcism” at the end. You practically had the whole town in their to complete the deed. I wont say much else other than avoid this garbage. Even the 2nd part (The Heretic) is better.
