It has been a long, long time since I played a turn base RPG this good. Clair Obscur has truly revived a genre that was pretty much believed to be dead and revolutionized it. They took the combat system of games like Legends of Dragoon and amped it up X10. Now to mention the story: It is spectacular. This is what has me most blown away. The game does such an amazing job at telling the tragedy of a French people's dying world in this mysterious tale that keeps you on the edge of your seats just to unveil more and more of the cryptic "Paintress" and her "Gommage" curse. All rendered in beautiful next-gen graphics and visuals. I have not beat the game just yet but as of right now it is running on a solid 5/5 for me.

It's probably the best cinematically designed Final Fantasy game with the most immersive and emotional storyline. The gameplay is fantastic if you enjoy a very fast paced video game that you must constantly be invested into. The graphics are of course never a let down with Square Enix games and of course it beint a Final Fantasty game. I personally believe the story of this game is much better than Final Fantasy 7 in its self and Clive, the protoganist has a lot more personality than Cloud, Final Fantasy 7's protagonist. Now it's safe to say I can receive a lot of flack for even suggesting this but Final Fantasy 16 paves a road that can easily be the new style of future Final Fantasy games and easily passes everyone of its predecessors - revolutionizing the series. Final verdict: Superb 5/5.
