Although I was initially pleased that Hanks-Spielberg were doing another series about WWII, I was suspicious as to how good it would be when I learned that HBO failed to pick up the series as it had Band Of Brothers and the Pacific. As it turns out, I was correct in my suspicions. Through episode 6, the viewer has mostly received predictable filming and subpar dialog. The actors portraying the characters in the series just don't sell it as they did in Band of Brothers and the Pacific. Most of the 6 parts has been spent on the ground delving into the things that transpired between flights rather than the flights themselves. So far, only 4 of 30+ missions has been depicted. And done so by bad acting and bad scripting. I had high hopes for this series based upon the previous two. But it is a big drop off from what they were in every aspect. I can see now why HBO failed to pick it up.
