We watched the 4 part series first, loved it so much, I jumped on Amazon and bought the book! I love the stories she tells about her history in learning great cooking techniques. She shares easy to understand ideas, recipes, tips as well as explaining why these four elements are needed to master cooking. I have jumped out of my comfort zone and purchased seaweed salt and flake salt and have begun to examine my recipes for changes she suggests. My husband loves the illustrations and the breakdown of complex ideas into simple common sense. Today I made a baked halibut with homemade pico sprinkled with seaweed salt. Her tips really made this fish pop! I also made fresh scallops in a white wine and tomato sauce. Amazing! Looking forward to making her favorite crispy rice, Tahdig.
