After a slow start in the first fifty pages, the purpose of understanding her early life’s impact on her young adulthood became clear. Her coming from a humble background and by the age of 25 being an integral part of profound national history is illuminating, frightening, and inspirational. This book reveals a different perspective on how the highest levels of the executive branch work.
At times it reads like an exciting novel.

I first watched it thirty years ago. It has only gotten better with time. Bridges was nominated for best actor and should have won!

Great story that dealt well with relationships and suicidal ideation. Laughs, tears, pathos. Tom Hanks was great as usual. Wonderful ensemble cast. I may decide to read the book, as well.
