All great things come to end. It's been 30 great years of the MI franchise. And sadly, they come to an end with FR. I have the utmost respect for Tom for putting in the work and giving us, possibly, the greatest action scenes of our time. I thoroughly enjoyed watching FR. Ignore the critics. Sure, there are some hiccups, but they don't take away from the beauty that FR is. The submarine scene was by far the best thing I've watched in an action movie, and in any MI movie. Well paced, great visuals, and great storytelling as well as sound. God knows how much tensed I was watching it. Masterclass in movie production 👏

Solid 5 stars. I was sceptic at first when they said a spin-off was in the works, and especially considering the success of John Wick: Chapter 4. Needless to say, I'm more the impressed. The pacing was great. Ana de Armas was splendid. Her story is well told, and with balance and grace, since I wasn't expecting her to be on John Wick-level action; it's unique. The CGI is also quite well done.

Huge disappointment. Can't believe I've had to wait 5 years for this atrocity. I'm on a rant so hear me out... The first movie ended with the assumption that Quynh’s return would likely dictate the basis of the second installment. They had so much to do her story arc, but I guess the "geniuses" at Netflix thought it wise to sideline her story in favor of the two new characters. The CGI was so crappy. Besides that, the final showdown scene was so stressful to watch. The fact that they used the same poorly CGI shot of Uma Thurman on the side of the helicopter like 4 times in 10 seconds made me physically recoil from genuine discomfort. The first helicopter should've 100% crashed after literally dragging its blades on the side of a building, with a broken window and shift in pressure. Then not only does it fly away, but the second one just LINGERS ON the entire time after having departed first. The hell??? They approached this movie from the wrong angle. Terrible storyline.

This is one of those movies where you need to be really attentive. It's well paced, great cast, and excellent story writing. I'd say this is a first for such kind of movie, so I don't know what genre to place it in. It has a bit of humor, subtle jokes here and there that you'll get if you're attentive enough. Towards the end, I can't tell you the number of times I had to pause and rewind just so I could understand what was happening (I was on my phone for like 5 mins, so I missed some important details). It's great recommendation if you're looking for those movies that leave you with the "Wtf did I just watch?" looks on your face.

The show starts off so well you want to like it. But immediately it enters the religious domain, I wasn't sure if I need to proceed further. However, it slowly makes a comeback, and even though it centers so much on Christianity, you'll love some of the sermons. There's a lot of good and bad in this show but the bad overweights the good. For starters, there were scenes where the characters dragged so much to take action I wanted to die. It's lazy writing, where you have characters who know what needs to be done, but the writers just have this need to rile your emotions so much, and you can see that worked cos here I am writing a review. Some characters also leave you wondering whether they really think. I get there's a lot of radicalization going on in the show, but the directors really really stretched it, it became annoying. The cinematography is well done. A few jump scares here and there, but the show isn't rich enough to earn the title of a horror movie. Maybe a vampire at best.

Of all Flanagan's works, I'll give this a mid at best. I have loved all of Flanagan's past shows but this one dragged on too long I started checking out. You want to like it, especially as it starts, with all that 90's vibe, but it starts getting stale as the stories keep increasing. The show would have done great with 7 episodes at best. 10 is a stretch, and it's not like 'Hill House' where Flanagan weaves the story so well such that it deserved that number of episodes. The characters, well, they're likeable. But not so much as the lead character. She's self-centered, obnoxious, and she got more irritating as the episodes carry on. I'll gladly rewatch 'Hill House' or 'Bly Manor' but I don't think I can sit down and rewatch this show.
