The show starts off so well you want to like it. But immediately it enters the religious domain, I wasn't sure if I need to proceed further. However, it slowly makes a comeback, and even though it centers so much on Christianity, you'll love some of the sermons.
There's a lot of good and bad in this show but the bad overweights the good.
For starters, there were scenes where the characters dragged so much to take action I wanted to die. It's lazy writing, where you have characters who know what needs to be done, but the writers just have this need to rile your emotions so much, and you can see that worked cos here I am writing a review. Some characters also leave you wondering whether they really think. I get there's a lot of radicalization going on in the show, but the directors really really stretched it, it became annoying.
The cinematography is well done. A few jump scares here and there, but the show isn't rich enough to earn the title of a horror movie. Maybe a vampire at best.
