All the one stars must be people that don’t know What a Wes Anderson film is. I saw it with my father and brother and we all loved it. I have seen all Wes Anderson’s movies and this one will likely crack my top five. It was funnier than most of his films and I felt it made a statement regarding American society more so than his other films. I enjoyed the French Dispatch but it was nice to see Wes Anderson back to making a full length story rather than The French dispatch which was more like three short films in one.

Writing And character development really bad. About an hour in my wife turns to me and says “are the beasts going to be in it?” Also very woke. In the beginning there is a ‘joke’ basically just saying “white people suck” LOL my wife and I laughed at the lady robot too. So how do these robot procreate ?? Do they need genders? Maybe answering that question would be a more interesting plot. Then same old same old with optimus. He looses twice then wins the third battle. I am also seeing pattern with woke films normalizing childhood disease (see that really awful film 65 as another example). I wonder why ;)

It was bad. No real character development. Plot made no sense. In one scene renfeild and the cop lady are being chased by all the other cops. Then she wakes up in renfeilds apartment and calls the same cops that chased her last night as if nothing had happened! It was pretty gross also. This may have been written by AI.

I Wished it was fun and witty. But none of the jokes landed. Maybe too many were in the trailer. It made for a pretty boring film. The wokeness was present as well which always detracts from real story telling. I felt there was a big missed opportunity here. It could have included two worlds. One where kids in the eighties or early nineties were actually playing D and D and they get sucked into the fantasy world in some way. I think that would have broadened the film and bettered it. Instead it stayed a pretty shallow film that I will not watch again. All the five stars is pretty crazy or fake if you ask me.

Read the other one star reviews for more details but Wow Wick falls out three stories in a club face first on ground. And gets up to be fine and kill more. He later falls out of a two story window and face plants on a car and then hits the street. Is he the terminator? Or is he a human being ? I thought he was a human. But I guess his limited dialogue of caveman meets robot was supposed to clue us in. I miss the times when writers tried to make things realistic. They don’t even try anymore. Much more on this movie that was horrendous. I don’t have time to put it all. But gosh so bad

Just awful writing. No real effort to make it reasonable and realistic in any way. Adam Driver helps it make theatres but this film is more like mega shark vs giant octopus or the like in terms of writing that makes sense. It would be fun to watch for free with friends and poke fun at the ridiculous scenes and writing. But not to pay for. I could go into each aspect that made the film so poorly executed but just watch it for free and make fun of it yourself.
