Gina Jolliffe

I like M.Godard and watched because of him. Two episodes in, and I shall probably not watch any more. All the cast seems to do is run through the forest in who-knows-what direction avoiding drones which never seem on target. Or they stare at each other, running the gamut of emotion from A_B (thank you Dorothy Parker). It's dull and unconvincing. The subject is tenuous. I don't care about any character, especially not the moping adolescents. I'll probably re-watch 'Engrenages' for the 5th time. Nice scenery though. J'aime M. Godard et je l'ai regardé à cause de lui. Deux épisodes plus tard, je n'en regarderai probablement plus. Les acteurs semblent se contenter de courir à travers la forêt dans on ne sait quelle direction, évitant les drones qui ne semblent jamais viser. Ou alors ils se fixent du regard, passant d'un épisode à l'autre de A à B (merci Dorothy Parker). C'est ennuyeux et peu convaincant. Le sujet est ténu. Aucun personnage ne m'intéresse, surtout pas les adolescents déprimés. Je vais probablement revoir « Engrenages » pour la cinquième fois. Les décors sont jolis, cependant.

We watched the 4th series when it was released recently, then realised we just had to watch the whole series from the beginning, again. It is so good, so relevant, and so frighteningly close to what's happening in UK politics at present. So well acted and scripted, and Sidse Babett Knudsen has a smile which would light up anyone's day.

Like many of the cast, I lost the will to live. At least I could turn off.
