I loved the original game because it felt like a new step in the right direction for the series and every corner of the game had something special but the sequel found the heart botw had and tore it to pieces with the new abilities. It no longer felt like a Zelda game but a fan made dlc that doesn't preserve the source material in any way. The game itself is fun but the puzzles in the shrines can almost all be beaten with zonai devices collected around the game and don't require any puzzle solving abilities. I often found the temple puzzles to be either extremely easy or incredibly finicky or gimmicky. all of the bosses were too easy and the sages abilities went unused after their section of the game ended after sinking nearly 300 hours into the first game over several playthroughs including the dlc I was disappointed to find that they removed whistle sprinting an exploit that had become part of my muscle memory that made movement around the world just a little less monotonous.
TLDR: the game is alright but does not compare to the original in terms of enjoyment alone.
