I watched the new release movie “Midway” on the opening day. Excellent movie! Definite must see movie! I am an army veteran of much later wars, but I have done a lot of reading and study on World War II and including books on the Pacific War in general and this battle in particular. I like that they focused on the military strategy, the battle and the reasons for the battle. They didn't distract with some side love story, but they focused on the reasons for fighting on both sides. Is every plane armament or distances between ships right? No. But the story of these brave sailors and airmen was told including some big medal winners. This story of bravery needs to be told and retold again and again. Go watch it! You'll love it!
