Arsh Malsiana was a family friend of our family.As a child I used to visit my father office in Old Sectt. DELHI and very often used to see him having tea with my father.He was a great enthusiast of Mushaira at Red Fort which used to be celebrated on first full moon of late January. I was told that this was the ritual established by Bahadur Shah Zafar . I often saw Furaaq Gorakhpuri Amrita Pritam in such Mushaira. This book is a great tribute to Maulana Azad and personal sacrifices. He could have been the first Prime Minister of Pakistan if he had towed the line of Jinnah but he advocated for one nation theory. Arsh sahib was married to my mother's close friend Raj Naval from Lahore.They lived in Model Town.
