Strength of the movie was its characters rather than the story line, plot, music or cinematography
It was a pleasure see all the actors we enjoyed watching in yesteryears in different movies are seen and performing their part well.

Many wonderful movies have bern made in a village setting with strong themes. This films has attempted and succeded giving the audience a treat on realistic visuals, delightful and comical acting and exploration of death and afterlife and how a village society deals with it pragmatically.
Background old tamil movie conversations definitely adds another layer. However, if one is not familiar either with Tamil or it old classic movies, the cinema talk can be drag and bore.
It is unfair criticism to say that tamil dialogues are intended on director's personal ambition.
All in all, if one is brought up in Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Srilanka, this movie has some thing to offer be it the ambience, societal norms and traditions or our belief systems and how fragile we are as humans.
