This film is a cripplingly intense portrayal of someone spinning into a mental breakdown, i left feeling very hollow and i do think that is the films intent. It was refreshing to go to a film that takes its time unraveling the plot and not feel like it needs to rush along to keep the viewers engaged due to our decreased attention spans in the smartphone hypnotized world we’re in. The direction is fantastic as well as the editing (hat tip to Toni Froschhammer). And Jennifer Lawrence’s performance is unforgettable. More films like this please!
