As an African American woman, I found the show extremely offensive! Look at Tomโs character!!! Since the first episode Melissaโs character loathes him! They are โmeanโ to one another, the implication is that he lies, he canโt read, he knows nothing about computers yet he has a job with a computer company???? So, is this REALLY how this show wants to portray African American men?
