As an African American woman, I found the show extremely offensive! Look at Tom’s character!!! Since the first episode Melissa’s character loathes him! They are “mean” to one another, the implication is that he lies, he can’t read, he knows nothing about computers yet he has a job with a computer company???? So, is this REALLY how this show wants to portray African American men?
