When I started to write this, I was pretty certain about one thing – though words are meant to be my thing but I have proudly accepted my defeat, as words, mere words could never express what an incredible thing I have come across. I have never been the greatest fan of Korean dramas and I have only watched Squid game up until this one. My best friend has introduced me to this one(Goblin – the lonely and the great god) two years ago (she’s a huge fan of k-dramas). At that point I never thought I was going to watch it after two years and get myself sit in front of my laptop to write an overwhelming review. As a lover of imaginative fictional stories, I have watched countless romantic movies and television series and in so many languages. But God I have never come across something like this ever before. Throughout the story whatever they tried to represent I felt it all to the deepest core of my heart. The sorrow, the love, the love among that sorrow (Ji Eun Tak’s sorrowful love) everything felt true, true to the core. Not for a single moment it seemed like whatever I have been watching was nothing but a story acted by exceptionally talented actors – it all felt real. I know I am just an ordinary audience of your show, my opinion really doesn’t matter much and it might seem a bit overwhelming for people out there – but I wanted the creators to know (if you ever happen to come across this mini piece of writing) that you made something that has touched my heart in a way nothing has ever done before. A respectful bow to the writer, the director, all the actors and everyone who has made this masterpiece. Once more kudos to everyone who worked behind this show to make it so beautiful.
