This is one of those "in the moment" non-contextual movies that defines the unique and enigmatic presence that is Brad Pitt. I went and watched this after his latest GQ interview and I can only say that I wish Brad would do more dramedy. I feel the exact same way about George Clooney although Clooney is getting to the point where he is starting to whirl into that dismal too old to be sexy anymore funk that clings to Harrison Ford and Richard Gere like someone smacked them upside the face with roadkill... Still, as crash landing as the end of this film is, it is still very entertaining as an immersion experience. Let yourself be taken in by the absolute hilarity and just enjoy one of Brad's better performances.
