I was so happy to hear they were making a live action movie of monster high. After watching the trailer, I was a bit worried about the movie thinking I wouldn't like it but I wanted to watch it to give it a proper review. Sadly, I was very disappointed in the movie. Almost everything about the character's we wrong. Why is Deuce trying to get with Clawdeen? Why is Clawdeen acting like a pick me girl instead of the confident queen she was in the original show? Why is Cleo "the mean girl" who doesn't like Drac, Frankie, Or Clawdeen? Draculura is doing witchcraft now, isn't she a vampire? Not to mention how sarcastic and kinda rude she was in this movie which is not like her original character at all. SHE WAS A SWEETHEART!!! Most likely the nicest on the show and now she's like that. Since when does Ghoulia speak? There is so many other things they got wrong in the movie which made it so disappointing. Another thing about the movie, I thought the plot was dumb. In Boo York they tried to get Catty Noir's voice back, Catty was trying to find her spark again, Cleo is trying to convince her dad on letting her be happy with Deuce and not marry a guy she doesn't know, Ghoulia was trying to stop the "Shooting Star" from distorying earth, Etc. There are many things happening at once and some swwet moments in between. In this live action its only one problem that is that intersting. Like it didn't keep me invested in it at all. In Boo York there was more this going on so I was asking so many questions while watching it. Like "Is Deuce and Cleo going to stay broken up?" or "Is Ghoulia going to stop the shooting star?" "Is Luna going to make it in Hollywood like she dreamed?" All these questions left me wanting to keep watching and finish the movie and have them make an undate on it like Boo York 2. Yet the live action never gave me any of that I was ust wondering the whole time when was it going to end because of how cringy and boring it was.
